Alan H. Porter, M.D., F.A.C.R

Dr. Porter has directed the Radiation Oncology Centers since 1975. He is board certified and a fellow of the American College of Radiology. He is listed among the "Best Doctors in America" from 1996 to 2010 (Woodard and White).
Dr. Porter received his B.S. (chemistry), M.S. (radiation physics), and M.D. (medicine) at the University of Florida. He completed residency at the University of Florida with additional training at M.D. Anderson Hospital. He served as chief resident and clinical instructor. Dr. Porter is past presidents of the Florida Radiological Society (FRS), Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO), Sarasota County Medical, and American Cancer Societies.
Dr. Porter is a founding trustee of Hospice Foundation of Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte Counties. Currently, he is a member of the Physicians Advisory Council and consultant to Medicare-Blue Cross/ Blue Shield of Florida.
Dale G. Lakomy, M.D.
Certified in Therapeutic Radiology by the American College of Radiology
Dr. Lakomy joined Sarasota Oncology in July 2003. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Clarkson University in electrical and computer engineering. After graduation, he accepted a position as research engineer at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He then returned for graduate studies, and obtained a Master’s Degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Rochester, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of NY Upstate Medical Center. A medical internship program was completed at the Baylor College of Medicine, and a radiation oncology residency program was completed at the University of Arizona.
